Tom and I are sorta house hunting now. We have an idea of the type of house we want, and hope to afford. We just need to get more research done. I’m actually pretty excited. It’s a big step, buying a house, but I’m psyched! It’ll be our first house. We’re not looking for anything fancy, just a couple of must-haves. Tom wants a finished basement and I want a beautiful kitchen preferably with an island. I think I do spend a good amount of my time at home in the kitchen, and since I’ve never had the luxury of a large kitchen growing up, it’s something I want now that I’ve grown up. Small kitchens are a hassle. Limited counter space, no room to move around. It just gets messy, and although I’ve had practice cooking in small kitchens, it’s not something I like.
