Nasi Ayam/Chicken Rice
Nasi Ayam, or Chicken Rice (ie. In Malay, “Nasi” means rice, “Ayam” means chicken) is probably one of the first few recipes I mastered when I started cooking about 7-8 years ago. Coz I learned to do that…pretty much when I was still in grade school. LOL. Anyways, as anyone in or has visited Malaysia will know, Nasi Ayam is probably one of the most (ok…second to Nasi Lemak) popular hawker-style dish amongst Malaysians. It is definitely the most popular dish among my family, mostly because it’s simple yet flavorful, and you can control the level of spicy-ness by the amount of sauce you decide to put on your dish. Nasi Ayam is basically rice made... Continue Reading

The broth reduces at the same time that it’s cooking into the rice, and regular canned broth would become much too salty. 2 cups chicken broth, divided 1 tablespoon olive oil, divided 1 tablespoon butter 5 ounces portobello mushrooms, thinly sliced 5 ounces white mushrooms, thinly sliced 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1/2-inch pieces 1/2 cup... Stuffed Sole with Crabmeat and Scallops recipe
I was asked by a new friend to post the recipe of what I made for dinner last night. Since I tend to cook a lot for dinner (cheaper than eating out everyday) and I don’t seem to have much else to write in here anymore, I think I will start writing more about what I cook. This quick, easy dish can be served with lemon garlic butter & steamed green beans for a perfect meal. Ingredients Crab and scallop stuffing and fish: 4 oz jumbo lump crab meat (1 cup) 1/2 pound bay or sea scallops 1 1/2 tablespoons... Continue Reading
